Being His Hands in Feet in Your Community

"Where ever you live around this world, you are strategically placed by your creator to be magnificently effective for His kingdom."

Some of us are located in big cities with homeless populations that are climbing daily, some are in rural counties where jobs are scarce and poverty is rampant. Others live in middle class suburbia where families rush from soccer games to swim practice and seldom have time for meaningful relationships. Still others are in upper class neighborhoods where the race to achieve the American dream has created self reliant individuals with no hope beyond their bank account.

In every one of these areas, Christ is reaching out. He is using His people to glorify His name to those whom He loves dearly. Christ does this by using those who are called by His name to be His hands and feet. Everyday you encounter someone who you can be Jesus to that day. We are here to facilitate ways for you to be involved in meaningful ministry to those you encounter every day in the market places of your lives.

We began this project at our Church by a random idea by my friend Brad. Brad wanted to take one of our mornings at the church where we serve on staff and bake cookies. His idea was to bake the cookies and make bags to take to the local mall to hand out to the workers. We included a good simple to understand Gospel tract, a loving smile and an offer to pray with them for any needs they may have. Community Jesus had begun.

So, what can you do to surprise someone with the love of Jesus? Bake cookies? Take blankets to the homeless under the bridge? How about a gift basket for the administrators of your public school? Serving others and pointing them to Christ with no strings attached...just the love of God.
